Follow the video to install the device and adjust the height and angle of the monitor according to your preferences. The device will automatically turn on after connected to power.

Take the following procedures to set up your device:
1.  Configure Android: When you turn on ThinkSmart View Plus for the first time, you will see the Android windows where you can set the language, time zone, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for your device.
2.  Set Administrator Password: After completing the Android settings, you will see a window asking you to set an administrator password before using the device.
3.  Claim to ThinkSmart Manager: After you set the administrator password, the ThinkSmart Manager windows will appear to help you claim your device to ThinkSmart Manager for easy remote deployment, setup, configuration, and monitoring from the cloud.
Notes:
• ThinkSmart Manager is not supported in some countries and regions.
• Claiming to ThinkSmart Manager is certainly beneficial, but not strictly required. If you want to claim later, you can skip and go to the next procedure.
• Illustrations in this guide might look different from your device as ThinkSmart Manager periodically updates features.
ThinkSmart Manager Setup Prerequisites:
• Create a Lenovo ID from the Lenovo Support page at https://support.lenovo.com/.
• Create an organization ID from the ThinkSmart Manager portal at https://portal.thinksmart.lenovo.com/.
• Prepare a mobile device (such as smart phone) that can scan QR codes.
• Ensure that your device and the mobile device are connected to the Internet during the claiming process.

1. Configure Android

Step 1: Follow the on-screen instructions to set the language, time zone, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for your device.

2. Set Administrator Password

Set an administrator password to keep your device secure before you use it.

3. Claim to ThinkSmart Manager

Step 1: The Claim Device to ThinkSmart Manager window appears after you set the administrator password.

Step 2: Scan the QR code to download ThinkSmart Manager to your mobile device.

Step 3: Log in and complete the operations on your mobile device.

Step 4: Scan the QR code on ThinkSmart View Plus. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the default organization configurations from cloud (if necessary) and complete the claiming process.

Step 5: The claiming is successful on ThinkSmart View Plus. Follow the on-screen instructions to go to the next procedure.

Congratulations! When you see the following window, your device is set up successfully.

Sign in with a personal account by one of the following methods:
• Remote sign in with Teams Display account, password, and the refresh code;
• Local sign in with Teams Display account and password.

Once you have successfully signed in, the home screen will be displayed and Teams Display will sync with Microsoft Teams on your computer.

You can creare a face ID for quick sign-in to your device.
Step 1: Select your User ID on the top left of the home screen.

Step 2: Select Settings > Device settings > Face ID and follow the on-screen instructions.

With a face ID created and camera privacy shutter open, ThinkSmart View Plus will automatically log in when you face the camera.

Find the meeting displayed under Activity and select Join.

Step 1: Select Contacts icon on the home screen.

Step 2: Find the person you wish to invite, and then select Video call icon to start a video call or  Audio call icon to start an audio call.

Option 1. Share Whiteboard
Select Share icon in your meeting controls, and then select Share Whiteboard to open a dedicated canvas where teammates have a common space to sketch and ideate together.
Note: This feature is available for scheduled meetings only.
Option 2. Share PowerPoint
Select Share icon in your meeting controls, select Share PowerPoint option, and then select a PowerPoint file for sharing.

Option 3. Share Connected Device
Connect your computer to the USB-C connector or DisplayPort in connector on ThinkSmart View Plus. Then select Share icon in your meeting controls, and select Connected device option. Your screen will be displayed on ThinkSmart View Plus and shared with onsite and online attendees automatically.

Can I install other meeting applications on ThinkSmart View Plus?

No. ThinkSmart View Plus is designed for Microsoft Teams displays only. It’s not recommended to install any other meeting applications or any type of application to ThinkSmart View Plus.

Can I use the soundbar as a standalone Bluetooth speaker?

No. You can connect the soundbar to ThinkSmart View Plus and connect ThinkSmart View Plus to your computer with the inbox USB-C cable. Then you can set the soundbar as the speaker device of your computer.

How to turn on and turn off ThinkSmart View Plus?

ThinkSmart ViewPlus will turn on automatically once connected to power.
To turn off the monitor, you can press the power button on the rear side of the monitor.
To turn off the device,

  • • For personal device, select the User ID from the home screen, then select Settings > Device settings > Power Off.
  • • For shared device, select Settings > Device settings > Power Off.
    You can press the power button to turn on the device again.

How to find my device information?

  • For personal account:

    • After signed in:Home screen > User ID > Settings > Device settings > About

    • Before signed in:Sign-in screen > Settings icon > Device settings > About

  • For share room account:

    • After signed in:Home screen > Settings > Device settings > About

    • Before signed in:Sign-in screen > Settings icon > Device settings > About

Do I need to update the software on ThinkSmart View Plus?

No. ThinkSmart View Plus is an Android-based operating system. It will get the latest update pushed from Microsoft OTA (Over-The-Air) server and get the software updated automatically when the device is connected to the Internet.

How to do a factory reset?

With device power on, press and hold the recovery button in the rear side of the monitor for 8 seconds. When the factory reset option is displayed, select Reset to do the reset.
