The power LED

When the computer is turned on, the color of the power LED corresponds to the computer's active operating mode.

LED status	Indication
Solid blue	The computer is turned on and in quiet mode.
Solid white	The computer is turned on and in balance mode.
Solid red	The computer is turned on and in performance mode.
Blinking blue	The computer is in sleep mode.
Off	The computer is turned off or in hibernation mode.

Note: Use the keyboard shortcut Fn + Q to cycle through quiet, balance, and performance mode. When the computer is running on battery power, you cannot switch the computer to performance mode.
