Wi-Fi card

Prerequisite

Before you start, read Important safety information and print the following instructions.

Replacement procedure

  1. Remove the computer cover. See Computer cover.

  2. Remove the bottom cover. See Bottom cover.

  3. Remove the storage drive. See Storage drive.

  4. Remove the screw, and then remove the Wi-Fi card cover.

  5. Disconnect the Wi-Fi antennas from the Wi-Fi card.

  6. Remove the Wi-Fi card.

  7. Install the new Wi-Fi card.

  8. Connect the Wi-Fi antennas to the Wi-Fi card.

  9. Install the Wi-Fi card cover and then install the screw.

  10. Reinstall all removed parts.

  11. Reconnect the ac power adapter and all disconnected cables to the computer.
    Note: If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer.
