Bottom cover

Prerequisite

Before you start, read Important safety information and print the following instructions.

Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer is cool.

Replacement procedure

1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices and cables.

2. Unlock any locking device that secures the computer cover.

3. Hold the sides of the computer and gently lay it down so that the computer cover is facing up.

4. Remove the computer cover. See Computer cover.

5. Remove the four screws, and then remove the bottom cover.
   

   

   
   
6. Install the new computer cover, and then secure it with the four screws.
   

   

   
   

7. Place the computer in an upright position.

8. Reconnect the ac power adapter and all disconnected cables to the computer.

   Note: If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer.
