This section provides introduction to keyboard shortcuts for using Snap feature and moving windows between displays. They help you improve your productivity and working efficiency.

Snap your windows on a Single Display

This feature helps you snap your open windows and share the windows on a single display.

Snapping open windows and sharing them on a single display

The following two keyboard shortcuts help you Snap your open windows:

  • Windows logo key + Z
    1. Press Windows logo key + Z to open the Snap layout box for your active window.

      Note: Depending on the size of your display, the predetermined layouts might be different.
    2. Choose the layout you want to use by entering the layout number.
    3. Enter the number where you want your active window positioned in that layout.
    4. Use keyboard arrows to select another open window you want to Snap from the thumbnails and press Enter to fill the layout with the window you selected.

  • Windows logo key + Arrow
    1. Press and hold Windows logo key + Arrow to Snap the active window. You can keep changing positions of the active window by using keyboard arrows.
      • Use the Left Arrow to position the active window on the left side of your screen.
      • Use the Right Arrow to position the active window on the right side of your screen.
      • Use the Up Arrow to position the active window on the upper side of your screen.
    2. Release Windows logo key to position the active window when you've found the Snap location you want.
    3. Use keyboard arrows to select another open window you want to Snap from the thumbnails and press Enter to fill the layout with the window you selected.

Moving windows between displays

The following keyboard shortcut helps you move windows between displays instantly.

  • Windows logo key + Shift + Arrow

    Notes: Before using this keyboard shortcut:

    1. Ensure that the external display is connected to your computer.
    2. Press F7 to open the Project menu and ensure that you select Extend mode.

Press Windows logo key + Shift + Left / Right Arrow to move the active window to the other display.
