Quick Snap

The Quick Snap feature helps you manage and organize your applications on multi-monitors. It allows you to send an application window to an external monitor in the desired layout or size without dragging a window to an external monitor and resizing it.

Enable or disable Quick Snap

The Quick Snap feature is enabled by default. To disable the feature, click the icon Arrow to expand hidden icons in the taskbar and right click the Lenovo Mode Switcher icon. Then, clear the Enable quick snap check box.

Note: Lenovo Mode Switcher icon varies by using modes.

Use Quick Snap

  1. Click on the title bar of the application window you want to organize and drag it anywhere on the screen. The Quick Snap icon will be displayed. If you have multiple monitors connected, it will show those monitors as how they are configured in the Windows display settings.
  2. Drag the application window over to the monitor icon for the desired monitor where you want to place the application. The layout options for that monitor will be displayed. That monitor will be outlined in red and the application location will be silhouetted in white.
  3. Drag the application window over the position where you prefer to locate it in one of the layouts. Then, release it.

The application window is positioned automatically on the area you select.
