Memory module

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Read this first: Important safety information.

If your computer supports one memory module, install the module into the DIMM 1 slot. If your computer supports two memory modules, install one memory module into the DIMM 1 slot first and then install the other into the DIMM 2 slot. SeeParts on the system board for the locations of the slots.

Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer.
Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.
Remove the computer cover. For details, see Computer cover.
Remove the bottom cover. For details, see Bottom cover.
Replace the memory module.
