Graphics card

  1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer.

  2. Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.

  3. Remove the computer cover. For details, see Computer cover.

  4. Remove the system fan. For details, see System fan.

  5. Replace the graphics card.
    • Type 1
      1. Remove the graphics card from the computer.

      2. Remove the PCIe converter from the graphics card.

      3. Install the PCIe converter on the new graphics card.

      4. Install the new graphics card into the computer.

    • Type 2
      1. Remove the graphics card from the computer.

      2. Remove the PCIe converter from the graphics card.

      3. Install the PCIe converter on the new graphics card.

      4. Install the new graphics card into the computer.
