Display connection

HDMI connection

HDMI connection is always a good choice and most displays support it. The HDMI connector on the computer is HDMI 2.1 compliant. If the external display and the cable are also HDMI 2.1 compliant, you can take advantage of the extraordinary bandwidth made possible by HDMI 2.1.

USB Type-C connection

Both USB Type-C connectors on the left of the computer support DisplayPortTM Alt Mode. You can connect an external display using either of the USB Type-C connectors.

To connect displays with a USB Type-C connector (for video input), use a cable with USB Type-C plugs on both ends.

The upper USB Type-C connector (Thunderbolt 4 or multi-function USB port) does not support video output in dGPU Mode.

To connect displays with a DisplayPort connector, use a cable with a USB Type-C plug on one end and a DisplayPort plug on the other.
