Refer to marketing materials to find out what computer models support which devices. If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below. Click Start, select Control Panel, click Uninstall Program. 2. Select ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software and click Uninstall. 3. A pop-up will open with a message, 'Are you sure you want to uninstall ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software 6.1.0.5100?'. In this case, the software version is 6.1.0.5100. 4. Click No to close the pop-up. Note: This software is to add functions over the Microsoft Bluetooth software for Microsoft Windows Vista. So the version number of some of the software may not the same as the version number of this software. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES Nothing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: - If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. - If ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software is running on your ThinkPad computer, uninstall it before installing this version. Manual Install 1. Press Fn and F5 keys at the same time to turn on Bluetooth. 2. If Found New Hardware Wizard is opened, click Cancel. 3. Execute Setup.exe 4. If an User Account Control pop-up opens, click Continue. 5. In "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software 6.1.0.4500" window, Click Next. 6. In the "License Agreement" window, read the Licence Agreement carefully, if you agree, select "I accept the term in the licence agreement" then click Next. 7. In the Destination Folder window, click Next. (If you need to change the destination, click Change,select or enter the destination folder you like, then lick Next.) 8. In the "Ready to Install the Program" window, click Install. Note: During the installation, do not touch the keyboard, the TrackPoint, and the mouse. 9. When "InstallShield Wizard Completed" window appears, click Finish. 10. If you are asked to restart the system, click Yes to restart. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files. - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the /qn /ru /ri options. Click Start, select Control Panel, click Uninstall Program. 2. Select ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software and click Uninstall. 3. A pop-up will open with a message, 'Are you sure you want to uninstall ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software 6.1.0.5100?'. Click Yes. Uninstallation will start. 4. When an User Account Control pop-up opens, click Allow to continue uninstallation. 5.
