  This package installs Power Manager utility programs.

  If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this
  package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

  1. Start Power Manager, the main screen will be displayed.
  2. Click the "?" mark, and choose About Power Manager... to display the
      version information.

NOTES

  Power Manager setup requires the .NET Framework 3.0 or later. Run this setup
  after install the .NET Framework.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


Manual Install

1. Start Windows XP, and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Double-click on dpmx2000006f.exe to launch the install program.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files.
  - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -S -SMS options.
    Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\SETUP.EXE -S -SMS

Manual Uninstall

  1. Start Windows Windows XP, and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Add/Remove Programs.
  4. Click ThinkVantage Power Manager, then click the Add/Remove... button.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

(*1) Monitor brightness control feature has a dependency on hardware configuration 
       and video card (driver). The following video cards are supported:
	- nVidia 9500GT + DVI
	- Intel onboard video card (Q43/Q45 Express chipset) +VGA
	- Geforce9300GE + DVI

       Other Intel and nVidia video card may or may not be supported.
       AMD/ATI video card is not supported.

(*2) Monitor should support MCCS and DDC/CI for brightness control.
