Trust Key software for Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit) Version 1.60.2613 Installation README What this package does ====================== This package installs the Lenovo Security Logon and the Lenovo Private folder applications for use with the Lenovo Trust Key. Lenovo Security Logon --------------------- - Enables the user to automatically log into or lock his/her Windows system. - Insert the Trust Key into a USB port, and it will log you in. - Remove the Trust Key, and the computer is locked. - Enables the user to log on to Windows faster and increases system security. Lenovo Private folder --------------------- - Enables the user to create, open, modify or delete files in a special private folder. - Each user can only access their own private folder. - The data is encrypted automatically when the user creates or copy data to their private folder. - An Emergency password can open the private folder if the user’s Trust Key is lost or damaged. - Each PC can have up to five Trust keys, each key has one user. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Note: ==== Some Antivirus software will block certain functions of Lenovo Trust Key software. This will generate a warning message asking you to choose whether to continue to run the software or not. Please choose to continue running the Lenovo Trust Key software. If you choose to stop, the software will continue to run, but some functions may not complete the operation. If you select to stop running the software, you should run the Lenovo Trust Key software again to use it normally. Downloading the package ======================= 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Installing the package ===================== 1. Uninstall the older version of the Lenovo Trust Key. 2. Click Start, then click Start Search. 3. Type v3tsk06us13.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded. 4. Double-click the v3tsk06us13.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue. 5. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 6. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 7. Click Next. 8. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\SWTOOLS\APPS\Lenovo Trust Key\v3tsk06us13. 9. Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to your hard drive. 10. Click Finish. 11. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, then click Run. 12. Type C:\SWTOOLS\Apps\Lenovo Trust Key\v3tsk06us13\LxSetup.exe, then click OK. 13. The setup program will run and follow all onscreen prompts. If you run the setup.exe in the folder which is made by extracting the update package to install the software, the function of the software will be invalid and can not be uninstalled normally. After copying CheckVDF.dll, SetupConfig.dll and SetupConfig.ini files from the folder which is made by extracting the update package to the folder (C:\WINDOWS\system32), then the software installed incorrectly can be uninstalled normally.
