This utility updates the Intel(R) Management Engine's firmware of the local machine. This package is for use with systems that are AMT capable. How to install the software: Before using this tool (Important!!!) ====================== 1. If you update the AMT Firmware, you can NOT downgrade to the previous version. 2. Make sure the Management Engine Interface Driver is installed on the system. 3. During the update process, do NOT allow your system to power off. 4. This tool supports Windows XP SP2, x64, PE, Vista. 5. If you use LANDesk Management Suit to manage your AMT clients, strongly recommend you install the patch CR20525-88 on your server, you can get this patch from: http://community.landesk.com/downloads/ServicePack/LD-88-AMT-CR20525-88.zip LDMS SP3 will also be included in this patch. Updating the ME firmware ======================== 1. Download the update tool FW3.2.3.1037.exe from the support website. 2. Run FW3.2.3.1037.exe in Windows. In Vista, if the "User Account Control" window appears, please select "Allow". The update will take several minutes to complete. 3. After the update is complete, turn the system off and disconnect the power cord for at least 15 seconds. Check the update result in BIOS =========================== 1. Boot the system, enter BIOS Setup (F1), and verify the following information on the Advanced -> AMT sub-Menu screen: ME Firmware Status : Enable Platform Manageability : AMT ME FW Version : 3.2.3.1037 2. If the three items above match the AMT screen, the update was successful. Note: This check is only for the M57p that AMT is enabled(that is the default of M57p), if you have disabled AMT in the MEBx, the AMT sub-Menu will NOT be shown in BIOS Setup.
