NOTES

- This software can work correctly on Lenovo computers listed above.
- If you use the Product Recovery function shipped with your computer to restore
  the Windows preload environment, you do not need this package. This package is
  required when you install Windows Operating Systems without the Product
  Recovery function.

HOW TO USE

Note:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to install
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


  How to apply this registry patch:

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\OSFIXES\VISTA.
  3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run...
  4. Specify usbfhcr.exe with the full path name where you extracted the package
     in step 2, and click OK.
     Example: C:\DRIVERS\OSFIXES\VISTA\USBFHCR\usbfhcr.exe.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


  How to disable this registry patch:

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click "Uninstall a program" link of Programs icon. You will see "Uninstall
     or change a program window".
  4. Click "Registry patch to improve USB device detection on resume from sleep
     for Windows Vista", then click Uninstall/Change.
  5. Click Continue button on User Account Control.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen and then reboot the computer.
