  This package installs the software (iSCT) to enable the following device.

  This is an iSCT ACPI Virtual Device driver (INT33A0) to allow communication 
  between BIOS and iSCT Agent.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

 [Windows XP]

  1. Click Windows start button -> right click on "My Computer" -> select 
     "Manage".
  2. Click Device Manager in the left pane.
  3. Click System devices to expand device list.
  4. Right click on "Intel Smart Connect Technology" and select Properties.
  5. Click Driver tab.
  6. Check Driver version.

  If you don't find "Intel Smart Connect Technology", software is not
  installed.

NOTES
 - If you  click "Driver Datails..." in the driver properties, the following
     window will appear, it expected, not an error.

         Intel(R) Smart connect Technology
          No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device.

 - iSCT doesn't function Windows XP.

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


Manual Update

  This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

  Downloading file
  1. Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up
     windows will appear.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  3. In the window to choose Run or Save, click Save.
  4. Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click Save.
     A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete.
     Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating
     that the download completed successfully.

  Extracting file
  5. Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
  6. Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
  7. Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
  8. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  9. In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to
     select a different folder, click Browse.
 10. In the Ready to Install window, click Install. All the necessary files will
     be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.

  Installing files
 11. Click Windows start button.
 12. Right click on "My Computer", and select "Manage".
 13. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, then you will find "! Unknown
     device" under Other devices.
 14. Right click on "! Unknown device", then and select "Update Driver Software..."
 15. Select "No, not this time" and click "Next>".
 16. Select "Install from a list or specific location",  and click "Next>".
 17. Confirm "Search for the best driver in these locations." is selected.
 18. Select "Include this location in the search" and click "Browse".
 19. Browse the software folder you extracted on step 9, and click OK.
 20. Click "Next" then installation will start.
 21. Click "Close".
