WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  This package installs the software (SmartCard reader driver) to enable the
  following device.

  Refer to marketing materials to find out what computer models support which
  devices.

  This package also adds additional tabs to Device Manager.

  If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this
  package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted
  below.

  This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

  1. Click Start.
  2. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
  3. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  4. Double-click Smart Card Readers category.
  5. Double-click Integrated Smart Card Reader.
  6. Click the Driver tab.
  7. Check Driver Version.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
  4. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  5. Double-click Smart Card Readers category.
  6. Double-click USB Smart Card Reader (Windows In-Box driver) or Integrated
     Smart Card Reader (Lenovo driver).
  7. Click the Driver tab, then select Update Driver Software...
     "Hardware Update Wizard" appears.
  8. Select "No, not this time" and click Next.
  9. Choose "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)", and click
     Next.
 10. Choose "Search for the best driver in these locations.".
 11. Confirm "Include this location in the search" checkbox is selected then
     click "Browse..." and point to driver location then click Next.
 12. Click "Continue Anyway" to "The software you are installing for this
     hardware..." when prompted.
 13. Installation will be completed then click "Finish".

UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


Manual Uninstall

  1. Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
  4. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  5. Double-click Smart Card Readers category.
  6. Double-click Integrated Smart Card Reader.
  7. Click the Driver tab,
  8. Click Uninstall.
  9. When prompted, confirm the operation by clicking OK for uninstallation.


Check the removal

  1. Click Start.
  2. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties.
  3. Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  4. Make sure no more Smart Card Readers category appears. Or if double-click
     Smart Card Readers category, make sure no Integrated Smart Card Reader
     appears any longer.
