Right-click anywhere on an open area of the Windows desktop, and select ATI Catalyst(R) Control Center. 2. If the ATI Catalyst Control Center is opened for the first time, a window will open asking to choose between Basic or Advanced. Select Advanced and click Next. Catalyst Control Center Notification window will open. 3. Click Yes. Catalyst Control Center Advanced window will open. 4. In the Graphics Settings pane, select Information Center then select Graphics Software. In the Graphics Software pane, the Driver Packaging Version is displayed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES - This software requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. This version installs it if not installed into your system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: - If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. - Before update, uninstallation of current driver is recommeded. Refer to the Uninstallation Instructions section. Manual Install This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer. Downloading files 1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse button. Once this is done, a pop-up window will appear. 2. In this pop-up window, choose (using the left mouse button) the directory you would like to download the file to and click the "Save" button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete without your assistance. 3. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully. 4. After being downloaded, the file will need to be extracted. Extracting files 5. Open Windows Explorer and locate the directory where the file was downloaded. 6. Locate the file that was just downloaded and click it using the right mouse button then select 'Extract All'. 7. The file will begin to extract in the directory where the downloaded file is located. Installing files 8. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 9. Open Windows Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 10. Double-click SETUP file. 11. Follow the instructions on the screen. 12. At the Select Components screen, click Express. 13. At the Setup Complete screen, select Yes, I want to restart my computer now. 14. Click Finish to reboot the system and complete the installation. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files. - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the /K -SMS options. Select 'ATI - Software Uninstall Utility' and click on 'Change/Remove' button. 5. Click 'OK' button to continue to uninstall. 6. Click 'Yes' button to restart Windows.
