WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  This package installs the software (Tablet Shortcut Menu) that provides the
  shortcuts to the ThinkPad utilities, the options to adjust system settings,
  and some other useful functions.

  If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this
  package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted
  below.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Note:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows Vista, XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TBUTIL
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories,
     then click Run...
     For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package
     in step 2, and click OK.
     Example:  C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TBUTIL\SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  1. Start Windows Vista, XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TBUTIL
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories,
     then click Run...
     For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify "SETUP.EXE -s -SMS" with the full path name where you extracted the
     package in step 2, and click OK.

Manual Uninstall

  Uninstallation is supported by the Uninstall a program of Programs and
  Features in the Control Panel. You have to logon with the user ID authorized
  as an administrator.
