DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED


 [Windows Vista]

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  3. Click System and Maintenance, then click System.
  4. Click Device Manager.
  5. Expand the System devices category.
  6. Double-click Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.
  7. Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed.


 [Windows XP]

  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Right-click My Computer on the Desktop, then select Properties.
  3. Click the Hardware tab.
  4. Click Device Manager.
  5. Expand the System devices category.
  6. Double-click Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.
  7. Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed.

NOTES

- To install this package, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and up should be
  installed before installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update
  the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  Version Information section.
- AMT devices are hidden by default and you cannot install the AMT device
  drivers. If you need to enable AMT, contact your network administrator.


Manual Install

  1. Logon to Windows Vista, XP or XP Tablet Edition 2005 with administrative
     privileges.
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file.
     The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AMT.
  3. For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories,
     then click Run...
     For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify "MEI\SETUP.EXE" with the full path name where you extracted the
     package in step 2, and click OK.
     Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\AMT\MEI\SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Click Finish to complete the installation and restart the computer if
     necessary.
