Version information is shown in the Driver Version: section. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES - The TrackPoint driver does not need to be installed on the UltraNav models. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: - If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. - Before update, uninstallation of current driver is recommended. Refer to the Uninstallation Instructions section. Manual Install This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer. Downloading files 1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse button. Once this is done, a pop-up window will appear. 2. In this pop-up window, choose (using the left mouse button) the directory you would like to download the file to and click the "Save" button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete without your assistance. 3. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully. 4. After being downloaded, the file will need to be extracted. Extracting files 5. Open Windows Explorer and locate the directory where the file was downloaded. 6. Locate the file that was just downloaded and click it using the right mouse button then select 'Extract All'. 7. The file will begin to extract in the directory where the downloaded file is located. Installing files 8. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 9. Open Windows Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 10. Double-click SETUP file. 11. Click Open. 12. Click OK. 13. Select a language when Choose Setup Language popup panel appears, then click OK. 14. Click Next. 15. Click Next. 16. Click Finish and restart the system. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the files. - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -s -SMS options.
