If you use the preload environment, you do not need this package. This package is required when you install Windows OS without the preload image. Manual Install [Windows 7] 1. Extract this package to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR. 2. Right-click on the desktop then select Screen resolution. 3. Click Advanced Settings. 4. Select the Monitor tab. 5. Click Properties. 6. Select the Driver tab then click Update Driver. 7. Select "Browse my computer for driver software". 8. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". 9. Click Have Disk. 10. Specify path to this monitor INF then click Open. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR 11. Click OK. 12. Confirm the correct display type, then click Next. 13. Windows has finished installing. Click Close. 14. Click Close for Display Propertries. 15. Click OK for the Monitor tab. 16. Click OK for the Display Settings. [Windows Vista] 1. Extract this package to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR. 2. Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. 3. Select the Driver tab and click Update Driver. 9. "Hardware Update Wizard" starts. Select "No, not this time" for Windows Update connection and click Next. 10. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next. 11. Select "Don't search, I will chose the driver to install" and click Next. 12. Click "Have Disk". 13. Click Browse then specify location directory and select TPLCD.INF file. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\MONITOR 14. Click OK. 15. System will show ThinkPad Display. Click Next. System will copy ThinkPad Monitor INF file and color profile. 16. Click Finish, then click Close. 17. Select the Color Management tab. 18. Click Add. 19. Select TPFLX.ICM or TPLCD.ICM and click Add. 20. Click OK. 21. Close the Display Properties. [Windows 2000] 1. Extract this package to your hard drive. 2. Right-click the desktop and select Properties from the pop up menu. 3. Select the Settings tab. 4. Click Advanced. 5. Select the Monitor tab. 6.
