  This package installs the software (Ricoh 4-in-1 Media Card Reader
  driver) to enable the following devices.

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED

Windows Vista 32bit, 64 bit:
  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Uninstall a program.
  3. Righ click on 'Name' tab, then click More.
  4. Tick 'Version', then click OK.
  5. Check the Version value of 'RICOH R5C83x/84x Flash Media
     Controller Driver Ver.3.55.01'.

Windows XP:
  1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Click 'RICOH R5C83x/84x Flash Media Controller Driver
     Ver.3.55.01', and then click 'Click here for support
     information'.
  4. Check the value of Version.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
  If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1.
  3. Run the InstallShield* installation program in 4In1 folder.
     Windows Vista/XP:     SETUP.EXE
  4. You will be prompted to agree to the license agreement.
     If you do not agree, the Installer will exit before extracting
     any files.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and use the default settings to
     complete the setup, once the operating system has rebooted.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

Windows Vista 32bit, 64 bit:
  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1.
  3. Click Start, then click All Programs.
  4. Click Accessories, then click Run...
  5. Specify SETUP.EXE -s with the full path name where you extracted
     the package in the step 2, and click OK.
     Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1\SETUP.EXE -s
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  7. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.

Windows XP:
  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\4IN1.
  3. Click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE -s with the full path name where you extracted
     the package in the step 2, and click OK.
