If the power management driver has been installed, updating (overwrite -installing) the power management driver will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. There are following ways for installation. (A) Install (B) Unattended install (A) Install This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Explorer. (Downloading files) 1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse button. Once this is done, a pop-up window will appear. 2. In this pop-up window, choose (using the left mouse button) the directory you would like to download the file to and click the "Save" button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete without your assistance. 3. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully. 4. After being downloaded, the file will need to be extracted. (Extracting files) 5. Locate the directory where the file was downloaded. 6. Locate the file that was just downloaded and double click it using the left mouse button. 7. The file will begin to extract in the directory where the downloaded file is located. (Installing files) [Clean install] 8. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 9. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 10. Double-click SETUP file. 11. Follow the instructions on the screen. 12. Click Finish to reboot the computer. [Update install (overwrite install)] Removing any previously installed driver. 8. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 9. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 10. Double-click SETUP file. 11. Follow the instructions on the screen. 12. Click Finish to remove the installed driver and reboot the computer. Installing a new driver. 13. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 14. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 15. Double-click SETUP file. 16. Follow the instructions on the screen. 17. Click Finish and reboot the computer.
