Start Windows Vista. 2. Click Start and then click Control Panel. 3. Click the System and Maintenance. 4. Click the System icon. 5. Click the Device Manager button. 6. Double-click the System devices section. 7. Select Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller. 8. Right-click Lenovo ACPI-Compliant Virtual Power Controller, and select Properties. 9. Click the Driver tab. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. Manual Install 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. Before installing the drivers, press the [Cancel] button if the Windows detect the device and popup a warning dialog. 3. Click Start, then click Run... 4. Specify SETUP.exe with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click ok. For example, C:\DRIVERS\00ef33ww\SETUP.exe 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. Read License Agreement and click Yes to proceed if it has. 6. When setup driver completely , click 'Finish' to complete installation. Reboot your computer if it is necessary. Uninstall 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Click start, and then click Control Panel. 3. Click "Uninstall a program" under "Programs". 4. Select "Energy Management", and then click Uninstall/Change. If the message, "User Account Control" appears, click "Continue". 5. If the message, "After removing...system must be rebooted" appears, click "OK". Device Driver will be uninstalled automatically. 6. If the message, "Close all open applications,then restart windows" appears, click "OK". 7. If needed, restart the system. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. 1.
